Chester County Association of Township Officials Names Thomas Lewis as the 2019 Lewis H. Ma

CCATO, at the annual Spring Conference held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 announced West Chester University student Thomas Lewis as the 2019 winner of the Lewis H. Marshall Award. Mr. Lewis will be graduating from West Chester University in May, 2019 with his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Geography and Planning.    

Thomas is currently working as an intern for the Chester County Department of Emergency Services and West Goshen Township where he has supported a number of tasks, most notably the implementation of a Chester County Flood Impact Model.

“CCATO continues to be pleased to have the opportunity to partner with West Chester University and is pleased to have the opportunity to recognize an exemplary student destined to excel in his service to the public, said Ernie Holling, Board Member, West Pikeland Township and President of CCATO.”   

The Lewis H. Marshall Award focuses on an exceptional student destined for a career in municipal management. The Lewis H. Marshall Award was named after Lewis. H. Marshall who served as Secretary/Treasurer of both West Goshen Township and CCATO and served as a board member with the Pennsylvania Association of Township Officials.
