Chester County Planning Commission Seeks Input on Landscapes3
Interested in providing input on Chester County’s future? Municipal officials should keep an eye out for a mailing from the Chester County Planning Commission regarding the latest on Landscapes3, the county’s next comprehensive plan, which will continue to balance growth with preservation.
The Planning Commission’s mailing packet includes landscapes maps and descriptions for your individual municipality, as well as the draft recommendations for the plan. Please send comments back to the county Planning Commission by July 31. While there will continue to be opportunities for comment after this date, this is a great time to give input before everything is pulled together into a final draft plan.
Once the Planning Commission receives feedback, they will prepare a full draft plan which will be available for further comment and review in the late summer/early fall.
The formal Act 247 review process, when the final draft is available for review and comment, is anticipated to kick-off in October.
If you, your elected officials, or your planning commission are interested in having further discussions on Landscapes3, the county Planning Commission would be happy to come to your municipality for a meeting or public presentation. The Planning Commission also encourages you to share the draft Landscapes3 materials with your residents.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a meeting, please contact Planning Commission Executive Director Brian O’Leary at email@example.com or Planning Services Director Susan Elks, the project manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-344-6285.
