The Chester County Association of Township Officials (CCATO) has a structured membership system where municipalities pay the membership dues on behalf of their township or borough.

Within this system, General Members are defined as individuals who hold elected office or occupy key positions such as Manager, Secretary, Tax Collector, Treasurer, or Auditor in any township within Chester County.

Associate Members are elected or appointed officials of a City of the Third Class, officials of a Borough, or comparable representatives of a home rule municipality in Chester County.  Associate Members can also be Mayors, Treasurers, Auditors, Controllers, Tax Collectors, Managers (Administrators), and Secretaries of a Borough.  

Associate members receive all benefits as General Members but have no voting rights and may not serve on the Executive Board.

Our members play a crucial role in the governance and representation of their municipalities within the association.
